Matt Munsey Joins Salem Academy and College as Vice President of Enrollment Management
Winston-Salem, NC (May 29, 2024) – Salem Academy and College has named Matt Munsey as vice president of enrollment management effective July 1. Munsey joins Salem Academy and College from Mary Baldwin University where he served as the vice president of enrollment management providing strategic leadership and oversight to the admissions and financial aid offices. At Salem, he will serve as a key leader on the president鈥檚 cabinet and will be responsible for institutional admissions and financial aid programs.

During his time at Mary Baldwin University, Munsey focused on enrollment strategies that led to record results and a resurgence in undergraduate residential enrollment in new students. As an innovative and dynamic enrollment management expert who has led significant enrollment turnarounds and growth in both the public and private higher education sectors and at preparatory schools, Munsey鈥檚 experience and commitment to single-gender institutions, like Blue Ridge School and Hampden-Sydney College, will help Salem Academy and College competitively thrive and move its institutional mission forward.
Munsey鈥檚 career began in higher education at his alma mater, Hampden-Sydney College in 2005, as the assistant dean of admissions. In 2009, he joined Radford University as the associate director of admissions, and in 2012, he transitioned from university admissions to secondary school admissions at Blue Ridge School. An experienced data analyst, Munsey completed his M.S. in business analytics from Quinnipiac University and uses a data-heavy approach to enrollment management. He will graduate with a doctorate in business administration from Johnson & Wales University in the fall of next year.
In this past year, Salem Academy announced its recent as the top boarding school in North Carolina and as the No. 1 STEM school in Forsyth County. In addition, 黑料导航 saw record number of applications for the fall of 2024, receiving its largest number of applications in its history for the third consecutive record-breaking year.
